Yea it did work at some time. Everything was in default settings. No skins and stuff. Weird thing is it opens the videos but I am not able to pause fast forward or basically no functionality besides waiting for it to stop playing the video. Also seems like it can't exit as well. I might actually need to use Revo Uninstaller because an other version is showing up even tho I uninstalled it a while ago.I had 2.0.5 which had problems, 2.0.6 was released so I put that one on and same thing.I haven't experience this problem before.

I just started having the same issue last night. It's weird, because I hadn't downloaded any updates in a long time or anything like that. It just started happening when I tried playing music files for the first time. Previously I'd only ever played video files.
I try to play a song and, huh, VLC won't open.If I did start/programs/vlc, it would open, and I could drag the file I wanted into the playlist and it would play. Then this morning, I went to play video files again, and same problem.Just uninstalled/reinstalled, with a minor hiccup that it wouldn't install because VLC.exe was still running in task manager. But now it's working a-okay.
